Distribution:  Africa: Orange River below the Augrabies Falls, Namibia and South Africa (Ref. 7248).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Prefers open water in the mainstream and backwaters where it feeds on zooplankton and aquatic insects (Ref. 7248).
