Family:  Odontobutidae (Freshwater sleepers)
Max. size:  5.5 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater; depth range 2 - 2 m
Distribution:  Asia: Mekong basin.
Diagnosis:  Distinguishable by its count of pectoral rays (14-16); the first dorsal fin with 7 rays; genital papilla extending backwards to the base of the anterior anal ray (Ref. 27732); body mottled, with 4-5 irregular bars (Ref. 43281). Pelvic fins separated (Ref. 43281).
Biology:  Occurs in marshes, swamps and backwaters (Ref. 27732).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 13 March 2011 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
