Max. size:  22 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  North America: Arkansas River drainage in southwestern Missouri, southeastern Kansas, northeastern Oklahoma and northwestern Arkansas, USA; isolated populations in Blue River (Red River drainage) in Oklahoma and upper Ouachita River drainage in Arkansas, USA.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits rocky, usually clear, runs and pools of creeks and small to medium rivers (Ref. 86798).

Threat to humans:  harmless
