Max. size:  8.4 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  North America: New River drainage in West Virginia, Virginia and North Carolina, USA.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits sandy and rocky runs and flowing pools of creeks and small to medium rivers.
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 01 March 2012 Ref. (124695)
