Family:  Anablepidae (Four-eyed fishes, onesided livebearers & white-eye), subfamily: Oxyzygonectinae
Max. size:  15 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater; brackish, non-migratory
Distribution:  Central America: Pacific drainages, between Poneloya, Nicaragua and Río Salado on the Azuero Peninsula, Panama.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Many inhabit brackish waters, found in rivers of low elevation, up to 15 m above seal level. Feed on detritus, algae and sometimes on terrestrial insects (Ref. 36880). 35 cm max TL (Ref. 2059). Not a seasonal killifish. Has been bred in captivity (Ref. 41756).
