Family:  Pempheridae (Sweepers)
Max. size:  16 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 10 - 40 m
Distribution:  Western Central Pacific.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 6-6; Dorsal soft rays (total): 8-10; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 21-25. Description: Body semitransparent, dorsal dark pink, sides and abdomen; head yellow; caudal fin tips dusky (Ref. 48636, 90102). Body depth 2.4-3.0 in SL; HL 2.9-3.5 in SL; eye 2.2. in HL; anal fin base 3.1-3.8 in SL. (Ref. 90102)
Biology:  Found in outer reef drop-offs in caves at moderate depths to about 40 m (Ref. 48636). Occurs in groups under ledges in caves.
