Max. size:  10.9 cm SL (male/unsexed); max.weight: 19.3 g
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: China.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 10-10; Anal soft rays: 7-7. Can be differentiated from all other species of the genus in having 2-3 black stripes below lateral line scale row (instead of having a body with a black bar located below fifth lateral line scale and above pectoral fin and 5-6 black stripes, one of them prominent along lateral line scale row). Can be differentiated from Parasinilabeo maculatus in having 16 circumpeduncular scales (vs. 18) and 38-41 lateral line scales (vs. 42-43) (Ref. 40456).
