| Biology: | Pelagic species (Ref. 6770) occuring in the rocky habitat (Ref. 46829). Scale-ripper (Ref. 6770, 46829). Caught at depths from 60-100 metres (Ref. 93918), but has also been seen in the shallow rocky habitat (Ref. 46829). Breeding behaviour is interesting as it involves a pair bond even though they are mouthbrooders in which the female broods the eggs (Ref. 466829). Come to shoreline to release their fry (Ref. 6770). | |||
