Max. size:  50 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: Thailand to Indonesia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 0-0; Anal soft rays: 86-93. Head 5 1/3 times in SL; maxillary barbel extends to middle eye; mandibular barbels shooter than eye width; dark spot at caudal-fin base; vomerine teeth in a smoothly curved band (Ref. 12693).
Biology:  Occurs in rivers, streams, and lakes as well as in impoundments. Feeds on pelagic fishes and shrimps. Sold fresh or smoked on a skewer (Ref. 12693).
