Max. size:  37 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 9 - 200 m
Distribution:  Eastern Pacific: Point Reyes in central California, USA to southern Baja California, Mexico; isolated population in northern the Gulf of California.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits soft bottoms.
