This species is distinguished by the following characters: with spinulated (without break) posterior and lower edges of praeoperculum; insertion of ventral fins is anterior or level to the vertical of the posterior edge of pectoral fin insertion; upper jaw extends beyond the vertical of the posterior edge of the eye; dorsal fin with 11 soft rays, anal fin with 8-9; rakers on the first gill arch 29-32; vertebrae 26; pyloric caeca 8 (Ref. 83718). | |||
