Family:  Gobiidae (Gobies), subfamily: Gobiinae
Max. size:  1.9 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine, non-migratory
Distribution:  Pacific Ocean: Marshall, Marcus, Johnston, Hawaii, Tonga, Marquesas, Society and Austral (French Polynesia), Tuamoto, and Pitcairn islands.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 7-7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 10-10; Anal spines: 1-1; Anal soft rays: 8-8. SL to about 24 mm. Head with a few relatively narrow (< pupil diameter) light bars.
Biology:  Benthic (Ref. 58302).
