Family:  Procatopodidae (African lampeyes), subfamily: Procatopodinae
Max. size:  6 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; pH range: 6 - 6.5; dH range: 1 - 3, non-migratory
Distribution:  Africa: Kienke and Lobi systems, southwest Cameroon.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in small rivers and brooks under forest cover, mainly in streaming parts of the river system (Ref. 3788). Not a seasonal killifish. Is very difficult to maintain in aquarium (Ref. 27139).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 16 February 2009 Ref. (130435)
