Distribution:  Asia.
Diagnosis:  Body dark black on head and back, stripes on sides of body; abdomen silver white and fins deeply black. Barbels 2 pairs; lateral line slightly decurved downward; outer edge of dorsal fin concave; pectoral fin long and pointed, extending or surpassing origin of pelvic fin.
Biology:  Inhabits deep pools in rivers.
