Dorsal soft rays (total): 9-9; Anal soft rays: 6-6. This species of the Psilorhynchus balitora species group (sensu Conway, 2011) is distinguished from its congeners in having the following characters: a squarish snout larger than eye, contributing 42.6-43.6% of head length, almost equal to the length of snout; a notch on the ethmoid region; caudal fin with two bars (Ref. 125431). |
