Family:  Cyprinidae (Minnows or carps), subfamily: Smiliogastrinae
Max. size:  2.5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: Mekong basin.
Diagnosis:  Lateral line incomplete, with pores only on first 10 scales; a discrete black spot at base of anterior dorsal-fin rays (Ref. 12693).
Biology:  Found in small streams and weedy lakes. Occurs from midwater to bottom levels in shallow water. Feeds on small crustaceans, worms and zooplankton (Ref. 12693).
