| Inhabits forest creeks, usually over sandy substrate (Ref. 56749). Occurs near the surface of streams. Not a common species, with apparently localized populations. Feeds mainly on exogenous insects. Rarely seen in markets, but common in the aquarium trade (Ref. 12693). |
