Distribution:  Western Pacific: New Caledonia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 20-20; Dorsal soft rays (total): 13-13; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 12-12. Body and head metallic silver; darker dorsally. Pupil silvery with an elongated, dusky blotch above and below the iris. A dark blotch, equal in size to orbit length on the operculum.
