Max. size:  30 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; brackish; marine; depth range 1 - 30 m
Distribution:  Southwest Pacific: Australia (including eastern Tasmania), Lord Howe Island and northern New Zealand.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabit coastal reefs; small juveniles in estuaries and rock pools.
