Family:  Scyliorhinidae (Cat sharks), subfamily: Scyliorhininae
Max. size:  49 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 300 - 600 m
Distribution:  Western Central Atlantic: North Carolina south to Florida in the USA and the Santaren Channel between Cuba and Bahamas Bank.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found on the continental slope. Maximum length is from an immature specimen. Oviparous (Ref. 50449).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 19 June 2020 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
