Environment:  demersal; brackish; marine; depth range - 27 m
Distribution:  Eastern Pacific: Costa Rica to Ecuador.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in coastal waters, over sandy and muddy bottom; also in estuaries (Ref. 9118). Found in local markets (Ref. 9118).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 28 January 2020 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
