Distribution:  Africa: middle Congo River basin in Democratic Republic of the Congo (Ref. 1877, 41585, 106245, 106290) and Republic of Congo (Ref. 53209).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Its electric organ discharge (EOD) is steroid-sensitive (Ref. 10765; 10764). Exhibits sexual dimorphism in its EOD waveform (Ref. 10011).
