Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Africa: lower Congo (Ref. 1877), middle Congo River (Ref. 1877, 1878, 41590), Lake Mai-Ndombe and Wagenia Falls (Ref. 42480) in Democratic Republic of the Congo. Report from the Lomami (Ref. 41590) unconfirmed in Ref. 106245, possibly originating from the village of Lomami in Ruki drainage (Ref. 12818). Also known from 2 specimens from the Niari River in Republic of Congo; further study may reveal these specimens to belong to a new species (Ref. 81635).
