Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 10 - 188 m
Distribution:  Southwest Atlantic: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to Rio de la Plata, Argentina.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Oviparous (Ref. 50449). Eggs have horn-like projections on the shell (Ref. 205).
