Distribution:  Asia: India, Myanmar and central Thailand (Ref. 4832). Recorded from the Mekong basin (Ref. 12975).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in clear mountain streams (Ref. 41236). Occurs in medium to large-sized rivers (Ref. 12975).
IUCN Red List Status: Near Threatened (NT); Date assessed: 28 May 2010 Ref. (130435)
