Max. size:  22 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 130 - 150 m
Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: southern Mozambique Channel, Madagascar, Reunion (Ref. 53568), and Mauritius.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 2-2; Dorsal soft rays (total): 32-34; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 31-33. Pale brown; 2 dark bars across forehead (Ref. 4421).
Biology:  Found in deep waters.
