Distribution:  Eastern Pacific: Costa Rica to Peru; enters freshwater.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  A rare species (Ref. 9047). Enters freshwater (Ref. 36798). Maximum length reported to reach 15 cm TL (Ref. 9047).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 30 April 2008 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
