Family:  Gobiidae (Gobies), subfamily: Gobiinae
Max. size:  12.4 cm TL (male/unsexed); max.weight: 29.5 g
Environment:  demersal; freshwater; brackish
Distribution:  Asia: Indonesia to China. Found in the Mekong delta.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits estuaries and the freshwater tidal zone of rivers. Occurs in the Mekong delta and may be found as far upstream as the tidal zone in Cambodia. Not seen in markets (Ref. 12693).

Country info:  Known from the river mouth areas of Guangdong Province (Ref. 45323). Known from Huanggang river drainage; Hanjiang river drainage; Longjin river drainage; Dongjiang river drainage; Moyang Jiang river drainage in Guangdong Province. Also from Nandujiang river drainge in Hainan Province(Ref.45323).
