Family:  Dasyatidae (Stingrays), subfamily: Dasyatinae
Max. size:  65 cm WD (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; brackish; marine; depth range 5 - 80 m
Distribution:  Southwest Atlantic: Brazil and argentina (Ref. 75710).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Usually found in sandy bottoms. Mobile invertebrate feeder, feed primarily on benthic mobile invertebrates, such as mollusks, crustaceans, and worms associated with hard or nearby unconsolidated substrate (Ref. 103985).
