Country info:  Known from coastal river basins (Ref. 11970). Report from the "Cuanza (Atlantic coastal)" (Ref. 120641) probably refers to the Cuanzan drainage basin or Cuanza Ichthyological Province, including various Angolan coastal basins, and not (only) the Cuanza river basin. Type-locality of the holotype of Mormyrus (Heteromormyrus) pauciradiatus: 'Angola' (Ref. 83772). Also Ref. 1878, 1880, 3203.
