Max. size:  24.2 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: known only from the Kapuas river, western Borneo.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in rivers and streams of the swamp forest, usually in backwaters (Ref. 56749). Feeds on plants, insect and crustaceans (Ref. 56749).
IUCN Red List Status: Near Threatened (NT); Date assessed: 07 January 2019 (B1ab(iii)) Ref. (124695)
Threat to humans:  harmless
Country info:  Known from the Kapuas river (Ref. 2091). Found in the Kapuas Lakes Area in western Borneo. Recorded from Danau Sentarum National Park in the Kapuas basin of Borneo, Kalimantan Barat (Ref. 56749).
