Max. size:  43.1 cm TL (female)
Environment:  benthopelagic; marine; depth range - 412 m
Distribution:  Western Pacific: off New Caledonia and the Philippines. A new record from Indonesia (Ref. 5978).
Diagnosis:  Vertebrae: 158. Anterior median vomerine teeth enlarged. Posterior nostril on top of head about midway between posterior margin of eye and occiput. Mature at 43 cm TL. Other characteristics: Lateral line pores 44.
