Max. size:  60 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; brackish; marine
Distribution:  Central America: Pacific draining rivers and estuaries from Mexico to Panama.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in coastal waters, over sandy bottoms (Ref. 9271, 37955). May enter inland waters (Ref. 37955). Feeds on benthic invertebrates (Ref. 37955). Marketed fresh (Ref. 9271).

Threat to humans:  traumatogenic
