Biology:  Inhabits small, shallow, swift streams with sandy or pebbly bottom (Ref. 41236).

Threat to humans:  harmless
Country info:  Known from Peninsular India, Chota Nagpur plateau in Bihar and Bastar in Madhya Pradesh (Ref. 4832). Also Ref. 41236, 45255. Status of threat: Data deficient in Western Ghats (Ref. 50614).
