Max. size:  10.61 cm WD (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 53 - 142 m
Distribution:  Northwest Pacific: off the coast of southern Japan and the East China Sea (Ref. 7445). Range extension reported from the Gulf of Guayaquil, Ecuador (Ref. 74597).
Biology:  Ovoviviparous (Ref. 50449).
IUCN Red List Status: Vulnerable (VU); Date assessed: 27 August 2019 (A2d) Ref. (124695)
Threat to humans:  harmless
Country info:  Reported from 3 specimens collected by artisanal fishermen of Puerto Bolivar from the Gulf of Guayaquil (Ref. 74597).
