Country info:  Type locality, Houtman Abrolhos Islands, Western Australia, NMV A 1793 (holotype of Trygonoptera galba, 32.8 cm TL, adult male). Occurs in the outer continental shelf from Abrolhos Islands northwards to Shark Bay (Western Australia), 100-210 m (Ref. 76957).
