Max. size:  17.1 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: China.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits mountain streams on gravel bottom and adheres to stones through its sucking disk (Ref. 51717).
IUCN Red List Status: Data deficient (DD); Date assessed: 17 June 2010 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
Country info:  Usually found in the Irrawaddy River system (Ref. 51717). Type locality: Qiaojie, Yunnan (Ref. 50838). Known from Tengchong, and Yingjiang River of Yunnan Province(Ref.45621). Also Ref. 27116.
