Comments: May have entered via Gibraltar. There is no other record in the Mediterranean. A very large billfish was caught in a tuna trap at Galipoli, Ionian Sea, however it was not preserved but because of the recorded size (385 cm, 310 kg), clearly belonged to the genus Makaira (Ref. 43448).     Ref:  Golani, D., L.
