Comments: | Widely distributed and regarded as an important gain as no native predator exists (Ref. 1739). Pike eradicated the native fish community in the National Park of Daimiel in central Spain and had themselves died out by 1986 (Ref. 13364). Pose a threat to the local endemic Valencia hispanica (Ref. 13367). Recently considered responsible for the disappearance of many native species (Elvira, Nicola and Almovar, 1996). Also Ref. 27761.
