| Comments: | Micropterus salmoides was introduced to Germany 1883 by Max Von Dem Borne. In 1911, Lake Worthersee (Province Carinthia) was accidentally stocked when a dam of a nearby pond broke, Besides another smaller lake (Forstsee/Carinthia) there is no water body known to be inhabited by this species. After a phase of mass occurrence of this species, shortly after its introduction, population density decreased. M. salmoides is now of minor importance.
