Comments: Micropterus salmoides was introduced to Germany 1883 by Max Von Dem Borne. In 1911, Lake Worthersee (Province Carinthia) was accidentally stocked when a dam of a nearby pond broke, Besides another smaller lake (Forstsee/Carinthia) there is no water body known to be inhabited by this species. After a phase of mass occurrence of this species, shortly after its introduction, population density decreased. M. salmoides is now of minor importance. Individual growth on an average lower than 1kg. Also Ref. 87703.     Ref:  FAO, 1997
