Additional Characters Yolk is homogeneous, about 1.7-2.3 mm in diameter and yellow to yellow-orange in color (Ref. 36497). Melanophores form on dorsal surface and gut of embryo beginning about 6 days after fertilization (Ref. 36497). Oil globules coalesce to 1 (Ref. 36497). Shell has 12-20 long filaments scattered over the surface (Ref. 36497).
