Comments: Spawning occurs in coastal waters with low salinity in depth as shallow as 50 cm. Spawning starts sometimes at 1°C, peaks at 4°C in April and early May. Very good feeding conditions during summer followed by a mild winter can induce start of spawning in November with peaks in January/February.
