Comments: Peak activity from October to February; spawning occurs at the edge of the littoral terrace; a female may have more than one brood in a season (Ref. 2). Breeding season may be divided in a nest-establishment phase by males (September-October), a period of intensive courtship (November-December), and a period of decreased nest-guarding by males, and mouth-brooding by females (January to March) (Ref. 1666).
