At about 7.5 mm, the urochord begins to turn up. Aggregates of chromatophores on the dorsal and anal fin membranes towards the posterior end of the body are observed which together form a distinct postanal bar. Head shape typical of Soleidae, i.e.with upper profile concave and posteriorly not clearly distinct from the visceral sac. |
