Pigmentation: 7-8 postanal melanophores ventrally. From about 6 mm, a row of melanophores is visible on the ventrolateral side of the anterior portion of the body. From 8.6 mm, there are two dorsal rows, one with 4 dorsal melanophores on the caudal region and the other with 5 melanophores beneath the origin of the dorsal fin. No pigmentation at the base of the caudal fin.
