Rückenflossenstacheln (insgesamt): 12 - 13; Rückenflossenweichstrahlen (insgesamt): 5-6; Afterflossenstacheln 12-13; Afterflossenweichstrahlen: 8 - 11. In males, the pale subdistal band on the caudal fin incomplete, interrupted posteriorly, constituting a series of oval pale spots on the fin membrane while the rays are dark pigmented.
