Taggstrålar i ryggfenan (totalt): 0; Mjukstrålar i ryggfenan (totalt): 11-12; Taggstrålar i analfenan 0; Mjukstrålar i analfenan: 8 - 9; Ryggkotor: 41. Upper jaw slightly longer than wide; width divided by length 0.81-0.87. A small black basicaudal spot present at end of silvery lateral band. Pectoral fin much shorter than head length; head length divided by lower jaw length 0.61-0.64. Males unknown (Ref. 10988).
Found in harbors and mangrove areas (Ref. 48635).
