Rückenflossenstacheln (insgesamt): 9; Rückenflossenweichstrahlen (insgesamt): 20-22; Afterflossenstacheln 3; Afterflossenweichstrahlen: 16 - 18. Greenish blue above, silvery grey below; blackish blotch on upper opercular margin; caudal fin yellowish (Ref. 3197). Adult males with 3-8 central dorsal and anal filamentous rays; LL with 17-29 scutes.
