Dorsal spines (total): 4; Dorsal soft rays (total): 20-21; Anal spines: 3; Anal soft rays: 7. Last dorsal spine osseous and serrated posteriorly; dorsal and pelvic fin rays branched; 14-15 predorsal scales; several open pores on either side of snout (Ref. 42977).
