Short description Morfologi | Morfometri

Taggstrålar i ryggfenan (totalt): 7; Mjukstrålar i ryggfenan (totalt): 8-9; Taggstrålar i analfenan 1; Mjukstrålar i analfenan: 6 - 8. This species is distinguished by the following characters: rugose genital papillae in both sexes. No IT pores; POP pores absent or greatly reduced. 4 - 6 large spots on ventral midline posteriorly from anal fin origin; subcutaneous bars associated with some ventral-midline spots. Fifth pelvic fin ray small, unbranched, about 1/10 length of 4th ray (usually poorly ossified). Anterior-most branch of 4th pelvic ray elongate, at least 10 segments. Dorsal spines in D1 not prolonged as filaments. 9 - 17 pectoral fin rays may be branched (Ref. 38034).

Biologi     Ordlista (t.ex. epibenthic)

Found resting on the substrate in shallow (<4.6 m) sheltered habitats, either at patch reefs well back in the bay (no surge, silt, and mud surrounding the coral) or from fouling communities on dock floats (Ref. 38034, 116739).
